Fibertrends Back Zip Sweater, in Lamb's Pride worsted - the red is a nice deep red, no tat all pinkish as the picture seems, and the yellow is more golden than it looks. I think it's going to be a very nice sweater, but I'm going to need to add length after the fact. The pattern is garter rib - any suggestions for what to add to the bottom for length?
My grandma taught me to embroider when I was very young, and I didn't pick it up again until this month. I'd like to find some iron-on or already-stamped "day of the week" towels to embroider. There are all sorts of fun embroidery kits online but I'm really not interested in making a wall hanging - I'd like to just embellish things I'm going to use. Or make a pillow, at least. This particular towel, I don't totally love it, but it was my first try in almost 30 years, so I think I'll improve. Coincidentally, it has some nice February-ish blue for the PS.
Project Spectrum starts this month. The colors are blue, grey and white. I've been meaning to post some pictures of favorite household things or spaces, sort of like Soulemama's Corners Of My Home posts.
This is a linen kitchen towel I found at a garage sale. There are several, but I especially like this one. I even like to iron it sometimes.
In related news, I have planned a greyish-black and white knitting project - just waiting for yarn to arrive. Two hints: 1- it comes from the first Stitch 'n Bitch, and 2 - no matter how sure I am that the Sweater-a-Month KAL is unrealistic, it has certainly lit a bit of a fire under my sweater-shy self.
