We've been having donuts on sundays. The kids really look forward to it, and it's a nice way to mark the beginning of a new week. Of course, I never thought I'd be inlcuding Ryan in this little ritual, but he is suddenly quite taken with food, particularly the sweet variety. Wow! He's my boy for sure.
Ryan is also walking more and more. Yesterday he walked several steps from one hand-hold to another, when he would have crawled before. He's not sleeping much, but the night-time sleep is more settled. Last night he only slept 11-7, wah!
Jeremiah has decided to take a week off taekwondo. He doesn't want to fall behind or stop working toward new belts, but he is ready for a break. I sure wish the drive weren't so far.
Jamie, who has changed the spelling of his name upon realizing Jami was typically a girl's spelling, has become so helpful. More and more, he knows just when to come and scoop up Ryan for some brotherly diversion. He just sits with Ryan on his lap and plays games, providing me with a very needed break from time to time. He also volunteers to carry him here and there, from the car to the house, etc. I think he knows that this is a very REAL help to me, and it feels very grown up for him. I'm pleased that he's getting that satisfied feeling of generosity.
Last night we had movie night, and watched The Kid. I thought it was very sad, sad for the boys to be watching, but I feel very overruled in the decision-making process with Evan and the boys.
