This is one of those posts that exists mainly for my own recordkeeping purposes, so that I don't need to collect piles of papers. I'm hoping to write out a home education weekly update on Fridays. We'll see if that sticks as a routine.
Jamie

Swiss Family Robinson - very unimpressed with this book. May abandon and read Under the Persimmon Tree (anyone know where I can find some good discussion questions for this book?). I'm glad he had the chance to read a good portion of the book - I think he has a sense of the writing style and author's personal leanings.
Science - discussion of Evolution and some reading of this book which I think contains very clear explanations of the concepts involved. It's also funny.

Math - Singapore 4A, factors, multiples
Language - reading Harry Potter

Okay, this should probably be an email, but my sister has been reading SFR to her boys and just cracking up. They're calling them the "MacGyver family Robinson," because they always just know what to do. . .
Great to see/hear about you all again.
