We've been busy outside, as planned. In front, there are these cute little pink roses Evan brought me, begonias, ferns, hostas, and something else I forget that will grow in the shade nicely.
Here we have the gargoyle we're caring for until its owner returns from Alabama to claim it (long story). I think it offers us quite a nice protective force field from evil. The pansies were planted in the container beside - funky purple because it seemed like the gothic gargoyle thing to do, pansies because nothing says "not that scary" better than the word pansy.
Finally, the ring of begonias circling some lavender, planted almost entirely by Ryan and watered often since. Only one has been crushed by a basketball so far.
Lovely! And I think you should tell those Alabamans that their gargoyle mysteriously disappeared, and just cover it up whenever they come over. It's great!
